Planet Watch -- November 2016
Mercury is visible in the evening skies over the western horizon setting a little later each evening as it moves toward
eastern elongation next month.
Venus is visible at sunset local time over the western horizon. Watch for a Venus to pass M-8, the Lagoon Nebula,
on November 8th.
Mars is visible above the southwestern horizon at local time for sunset and sets a few afters sunset.
Jupiter is low over the western horizon at sunset and will be in conjunction with the Sun early neaxt month.
Saturn is over the western horizon at sunset local time and sets a couple of hours after the Sun sets.
Dwarf Planet Ceres rises around sunset local time and is a few degrees west of the 'Circlet' asterism of Cetus the Whale,
and near another Dwarf Planet - this one in the outer reaches of the solar system, Dwarf Planet Eris.
