Mercury makes its best appearance in the evening skies this year for observers at mid-northern latitudes.
Venus continues shining brightly over the eastern horizon before the Sun rises. However Venus is moving closer to the time of
local sunrise and as it does it is lower above the horizon each morning.
Mars rises an hour or so before midnight local time and is visible the rest of the night hours.
Jupiter rises near sunset local time and is very visible the rest of the night hours, and is over the southwestern horizon at sunrise.
Saturn rises around midnight local time and is near the star Antares in Scorpius.
