Lunar Passages
Many
times during a month the Moon passes by bright stars and planets, and often we
are treated to nice pairings or groupings of these objects.
As shown in this view set for 0100 CDT (early o'clock!) on April 13th, the nearly first quarter Moon will be to the left of the 'twin' stars of Gemini. Pollux is the left star and Castor is the right one. Forming an interesting triangle with the twins is the planet Mars. |
